How It's Made

Sec. 02 — In the workshop

Everything in this catalog is made the same way: brass machined and spun in-house, finished by hand, wired with serviceable, user-replaceable LED engines, and assembled to order in our Nashville workshop.

Machined brass

Bodies and backplates are machined and hand-spun from solid brass and steel. Tool marks and slight variation from piece to piece are part of the work, not a flaw in it.

Hand-applied finishes

Nine finishes — from raw Brass and Aged Brass to Black Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Nickel, Pewter, and more — each applied and sealed by hand, plus a Custom option for matched specs.

Nothing sits on a shelf. Each fixture is built when you order it, which is why most ship in six to eight weeks and why we can size and adapt pieces to the room.
